Благотворительный фонд «Русский Силуэт» создан в 1997 году для поддержки молодых дизайнеров, а также сохранения национальных культурных традиций. Возглавляет фонд член-корреспондент Российской академии художеств Татьяна Михалкова. Учредитель – президент AVM Media Александр Митрошенков. В 1999 году фондом учрежден Международный конкурс молодых дизайнеров. Сегодня «Русский Силуэт» – уникальный интернациональный проект, объединивший творческую молодежь России и ряда европейских стран. Всеобщее признание он получил благодаря высокому уровню организации, широте географии участников и впечатляющим наградам. Призеры конкурса: Алена Ахмадуллина, Александр Терехов, Викa Газинская, Кирилл Гасилин, Бессарион, Джемал Махмудов, Алексей Власов, Антон Галецкий и многие другие – успешно развивают свои бренды и составляют команду ведущих дизайнеров страны. В 2011 году фонд выступил инициатором создания Общероссийского общественного движения «Обновленная страна», призванного объединить сотни тысяч молодых и талантливых людей с целью развития отечественной модной индустрии.
В попечительский совет фонда входят: дизайнеры Виктория Андреянова и Ирина Крутикова, музыкант Юрий Башмет, историк моды Александр Васильев, актер Олег Меньшиков, режиссер Андрей Кончаловский, бизнесмен Сергей Пластинин, продюсер из Франции Мишель Сейду. Патронируют конкурс дизайнеры: Вячеслав Зайцев, Валентин Юдашкин, Игорь Чапурин, Татьяна Парфенова, Олег Овсиев (Viva Vox), Людмила Норсоян, Александр Арнгольдт, Владимир Зубец, Vassa, эксперты моды Наталия Туровникова, Виталий Козак.
Представительства «Русского Силуэта» работают в Астане (Казахстан), Баку (Азербайджан), Бишкеке (Кыргызстан), Благовещенске, Будве (Черногория), Вильнюсе (Литва), Владивостоке, Воронеже, Екатеринбурге, Ереване (Армения), Иванове, Иркутске, Калининграде, Краснодаре, Курске, Махачкале (Республика Дагестан), Минске (Беларусь), Москве, Новосибирске, Омске, Риге (Латвия), Самаре, Санкт-Петербурге, Сочи, Таллине (Эстония), Тбилиси (Грузия), Туле, Тюмени, Улан-Удэ (Республика Бурятия), Уфе (Республика Башкортостан), Шахтах, Якутске, Ярославле. В отборочных турах конкурса участвуют более пяти тысяч дизайнеров. Победители приглашаются в Москву на финальный гала-показ.
Гала-шоу в Гостином Дворе – настоящий прорыв в мире моды. Финал конкурса собирает 70 молодых дизайнеров, 150 моделей, 2000 гостей. Свобода творчества, воплощение самых смелых идей, зажигательная музыка – все это делает событие по-настоящему ярким и незабываемым. Репортажи о финале конкурса транслируются центральными телеканалами России, показывая размах и грандиозность этого уникального события.
За годы существования конкурса сотни дизайнеров получили возможность пройти стажировки в мировых домах моды – Yves Saint Laurent, Kenzo, Givenchy, Nina Ricci, Castelbajac, Stella Cadente, Claude Bonucci, Escada, Laurel, Andrew GN, Mariella Burani Fashion Group, Moschino, Ermanno Scervino, в российских домах патронатов конкурса. Компании Bosco di Ciliegi, Saga Furs, Ratti, Premier Vizion, Igedo Company – организатор выставки CPM, Samos Fashion Group, «Линум», Carlin International, Red предоставляли победителям значимые стажировки и призы. Победители обучались в Istituto Marangoni в Милане и Лондоне, Институте Polimoda во Флоренции, магистратуре DOMUS Академии в Милане.
С успехом проходили показы финалистов на Mercedes-Benz Russian Fashion Week, Неделе высокой моды в Риме (Roma Collezioni Alta Moda), Неделе моды в Москве, Aurora Fashion Week, Habitus Baltija. Конкурс поддерживали студия «Соль», компании Viola Stils, «Текстильлегпром», «Тиссура» и многие другие. Бесплатное участие в конкурсе, обеспечение дизайнеров моделями и стилистами дает возможность талантливой молодежи проявить себя и получить уникальный жизненный шанс.

International contest of young fashion designers
Russian Silhouette charity foundation was created in 1997 with the aim of supporting Russian fashion designers and keeping national cultural traditions. The Foundation is headed by Tatiana Mikhalkova, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts. The founder of Russian Silhouette is Alexander Mitroshenkov, the President of Transcontinental MediaCompany. In 1999, the foundation started an International contest of the same name of young fashion designers. Today, Russian Silhouette is a unique international project, which brings together creative young people in Russia and several European countries. It is recognized for the high level of organization, geographical breadth of participants and impressive awards. Award winners and finalists of the contest: Alena Akhmadullina, Alexander Terekhov, Vika Gazinskaya, Kirill Gasilin, BEssARION, Jemal Makhmudov, Alexey Vlasov, Anton Galetskiy and many others — are successfully developing their own lines and form a team of leading designers of our country. In 2011, the Fоundation initiated the creation of the All-Russian Public Movement «Renovated Country», directed to unite hundreds of thousands of young and talented people to develop the Russian national fashion industry.
Members of the foundation’s Council of Trustees include: designers Viktoria Andreyanova and Irina Krutikova, musician Yuri Bashmet, historian of fashion Alexander Vasiliev, actor Oleg Menshikov, director Andrey Konchalovskiy, businessman Sergey Plastinin, French producer Michel Seidou. The contest is patronized by designers: Slava Zaitsev, Valentin Yudashkin, Igor Chapurin, Tatiana Parfenova, Oleg Ovsiev (Viva Vox), Lyudmila Norsoyan, Alexander Arngoldt, Vladimir Zubets, Vassa, fashion experts — Natalia Turovnikova and Vitally Kozak.
A wide network of Russian Silhouette representative offices covers the cities of Astana (Kazakhstan), Baku (Azerbaijan), Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan), Blagoveshchensk, Budva (Montenegro), Vilnius (Lithuania), Vladivostok, Voronezh, Yekaterinburg, Yerevan (Armenia), Ivanovo, Irkutsk, Kaliningrad, Krasnodar, Krasnoyarsk, Kursk, Makhachkala
(Republic of Dagestan), Minsk (Belorussia), Moscow, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Riga (Latvia), Samara, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Tallinn (Estonia), Tbilisi (Georgia), Tula, Tyumen, Ulan-Ude (Republic of Buryatia), Ufa (Republic of Bashkortostan), Shakhty, Yakutsk, Yaroslavl. More than five thousand designers take part in elimination rounds of the competition. Winners are invited to Moscow to the final gala-show.
The gala-show at the Gostiniy Dvor (Guest court) is a real breakthrough in the fashion world. The final of the contest gathers together 70 young fashion designers, 150 models, 2000 guests. Freedom of the creative work, implementation of the most courageous ideas, rousing music – all of it makes this event really impressive and unforgettable. Reports about the final round of the contest are broadcast by the main Russian TV channels, signifying range and grandiose of this event.
Since the establishment of the contest hundreds of designers were given a chance to complete internships at the fashion houses: Yves Saint Laurent, Kenzo, Givenchy, Nina Ricci, Castelbajac, Stella Cadente, Claude Bonucci, Escada, Laurel, Andrew GN, Mariella Burani Fashion Group, Moschino; Ermanno Scervino, at the centers of russian designers. Companies Bosco di Ciliegi, Saga Furs, Ratti, Premier Vizion, Igedo Company, the organizer of the CPM exhibition, Samos Fashion Group, Linum, Carlin International, Red awarded winners with notable internships and prizes. The winners took courses in Instituto Marangoni (Milan and London), Instituto Polimoda (Florence) and DOMUS Academy magistracy (Milan).
The shows of the finalists of the contest successfully took place at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia, Roma Collezioni Alta Moda, Volvo Fashion Week Moscow, Aurora Fashion Week, Habitus Baltija. The contest was supported by such companies as Studio «Sol’», Viola Stils, Textillegprom, Tissura and many others. Free participation and providing contestants regardless of their wealth with models and makeup artists gives an opportunity to the talented youth to prove themselves and get a unique chance in their lives.
Russian Silhouette International contest of young fashion designers is a project, completely aimed to help young talents to make their headway, to build boundless area of creativity for talented fashion designers.
